Elephant ivory

Researchers at university of Hong Kong found a new way to identify whether ivory cames from elephants or from woolly mammoths. To make a sale of elephant’s ivory is mostly illegal in the world and this technique will promote the prevalence of this kinds of laws and their protection.(1)

Also, this law became operative to another species like hippos or whales in UK. This is also for animal protection from the marketers. (2)

While I searching this topic, I found a barbaric photo on the website that children lifting ivory of elephants dripping blood and the man behind them was just swinging a axe for cutting out another ivory. I feel so sorry about that many people including younger people are related to animal ivory’s market. As a solution of this tragedy, strengthen laws that I was mentioned seems efficient and effective, but some people will not be able to earn a living. Moreover, marketers in this area can sacrifice another animals which are not banned to haunt yet.

  1. Be sure to provide your readers with the necessary background they may need in order to fully understand what you're writing about. For example, in order to comprehend why it might be important to be able to identify whether ivory comes from elephants or from woolly mammoths, one has to know that the trade in woolly mammoth ivory isn't restricted internationally in the same way that the ivory of African elephants is controlled. That's because woolly mammoths are already extinct, so there's no harm to them if their ivory is traded. See this article for background about why the woolly mammoth ivory trade is still problematic:

  2. It would have been better to separate the information about the woolly mammoths and your views about the photo you found on a website showing children lifting ivory from elephants dripping with blood. Both are interesting and deserve their own posts. You started out by explaining a scientific breakthrough and then you jumped to a, seemingly, unrelated story about something that disturbed you on a website you came across.
