 Animal hoarding

Beaumont Animal Care has officially been granted custody of 32 dogs that were seized from a suspected dogfighting or hoarding situation late last month.

According to the organization’s announcement on social media Judge Ben Collin’s ruled that all of the animals taken on Sep 30th will remain under the care of Beaumont Animal Care.

Photos of dogs will be shared on their Facebook page, and the staff are now finding their new home and family with rescue groups. 20 puppies have already been transferred to local rescues, but 12 adults dogs are not yet.

City officials said they were first alerted to the location in early September, when animal control officers received reports of possible neglect and illegal dogfighting. After this, they discovered the dogs living unsafe and unsanitary conditions.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police indicates that criminal charges could follow depending on the evidence or findings.

Animal hoarding is also one of the biggest concerns in Japan, and also Malay people are charging the current situations of pet stores. I am the owner of a dog, and I believe that we ought to pay attention and think these problems more seriously than now.

  1. This is about 2 separate issues that could be the subject of subsequent posts on your blog: hoarding (which can include pet hoarding or the hoarding of things) and dog/rooster fighting. Both of these issues have legal implications, as you pointed out.

Make sure that you use, at least, 2 sources for each of your postings. That can bring in a wider perspective. For example, if you also used a source that dealt with a case of animal hoarding in Japan you could have compared the laws related to it in the two countries and looked at how the penalties compare.

I'm glad that you brought in your own perspective in the last section of your post.
